Position Overview
Te Rewa o Puanga is recruiting a Technical Demonstrator, Screen Technologies to work with and support students, staff and external parties across Animation, Game, Interactive, Immersive Media, Media Technology, and other screen technologies. This role will attract someone with experience in game development, VFX, VR, AR, Animation, and other immersive technologies, who wants to share their knowledge with others.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a variety of screen technologies. They will also have a solid knowledge of game engines, VFX and animation software, and other technologies associated with immersive and interactive production.
This role will see the candidate working on a day to day basis, with students, staff, and external parties on our Wellington Campus, working on a variety of creative projects and productions. They will also be working with academic staff to help develop and deliver teaching content.
This is a three-year fixed term appointment.

Te Rewa o Puanga was established to respond to New Zealand’s growth and internationally recognised reputation for innovation and creativity in both screen arts and music. It is staffed by internationally acclaimed and award-winning practitioners and is equipped with state of the art facilities, including one of the largest and most high-tech recording studio complexes in the region.
The School delivers two undergraduate degree programmes, the Bachelor of Screen Arts with Honours (starting 2023) and the Bachelor of Commercial Music. The BSA(Hons) offers majors in Film Production, Factual Production, Animation, Game Development, Immersive Media, VFX and Media Technology. The Bachelor of Commercial Music offers majors in Music Practice, Music Technology and Music Industry.
The School also offers an Honours programme for Commercial Music as well as a Master of Creative Enterprise (MCE). The MCE is designed for students who are looking to apply professional strategies intrinsic to creative disciplines to develop and commercialise their practice.
