Position Overview
Applicants are sought for the position of Principal Advisor, Māori Student Success, Te Kunenga Ki Pūrehuroa, Massey University.
Ideally, the role holder will be located in Manawatū, but other Campus locations may be considered.
About the role:
The Principal Advisor is a direct report to the Pou Ākonga (Executive Director Ākonga Māori Success). The Principal Advisor will provide high quality advice and co-ordination of assigned activities including to develop, implement and review strategic and operational plans, projects, and initiatives. This role will directly assist the Pou Ākonga and support the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor Māori (ODVCM) to shape Ākonga Māori success at Te Kunenga Ki Pūrehuroa.
Working collaboratively across Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa, the Principal Advisor will assist the Pou Ākonga to work across a range of functions and roles to facilitate effective teamwork and joined up efforts that will contribute to Ākonga Māori success and university wide efforts for student success more broadly.
The Principal Advisor will assist to drive work that embraces and enhances Mana Māori and acknowledges the importance of the values of whanaungatanga and manaakitanga in advancing Ākonga Māori success.
