Systems and Reporting Analyst


PRIMARY DETAIL

Salary Package: From $99,739 – $108,139 (HEW Level 7), plus 17% superannuation and annual leave loading
Appointment Type: 1 x vacancy, full time, 12 month fixed term contract
Location: Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, Dharug land, North Ryde

THE ROLE

The System and Reporting Analyst will provide Advancement System solutions, in particular for gift receipting and Alumni Data and reporting to inform fundraising and donor recognition plans and initiatives.

Reporting to the Advancement Solutions Manager, your key responsibilities include:

  • Provide overall management of the CRM to include user support, application management, query/report building, communication support, event management, and other various system functionality.

  • Ensure integrity of Alumni data and assist with routine data quality and integrity checks to maintain the accuracy of system data.

  • Work closely with campaign and prospect strategy leadership, including providing data and analytics to support improved fundraising performance.

  • Develop and prepare highly segmented reports and mailing lists according to a high-volume, time-sensitive production calendar.

  • Participate in setting reporting priorities and establishing control mechanisms to ensure the effective review and timely completion of projects.

  • Use existing tools to extract, transform, and load data from external systems into the database of records.

  • Identify data integrity issues and recommend appropriate resolutions.

  • Provide end-user training and support, onboard new users, and enforcement of data security. Create and maintain documentation on processes, policies, and application configurations.

  • Play a vital role in supporting the University’s migration to a new CRM

  • A degree with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training – Qualifications in data, IT, and/or fundraising.

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of data management systems and CRM practices and standards, and knowledge of philanthropic relationship management.

  • Excellent writing and presentation skills and demonstrated ability to design and compile high-quality reports and information.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver database training.

  • Demonstrated ability to work productively as part of a team or independently and proactive contribution to achieving the mission and strategic goals of an organisation.

  • Significant experience, preferably in the higher education sector, in database administration, system development, implementation and maintenance.

  • Understanding of fundraising practices and alumni relations programs.

  • Proven experience prioritising competing workloads and deadlines; managing expectations.
