Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in nursing and 1 year of related experience. Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Iowa or ability to obtain before the start date.

Special Required Qualifications
CPR/AED Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:
Occupational medicine experience.
5-7 years of nursing experience in an adult ambulatory setting; office and/or emergency room.
Experience with electronic medical records systems.

The Ames National Laboratory with Iowa State University is seeking candidates for a Staff Nurse position to provide appropriate professional nursing and occupational health care services, phlebotomy, immunizations, and special testing procedures to Ames Lab and ISU employees as directed by the staff physician or nursing supervisor.

The successful candidate will possess excellent written, verbal and computer communication skills, and the ability to work with a diverse clientele in providing nursing services. The ability to teach wellness concepts, communicate one-on-one effectively to explain medically related information, and use electronic medical records for documentation is important for success in this position. Current CPR Certification is required for this position.
