International Marketing Officer

Working closely with the International Recruitment Marketing Manager, this role is responsible for advancing the profile and reputation of the University overseas, through a wide range of recruitment marketing activities.

Typically, you will: 

  • Produce, implement and monitor marketing plans to support the delivery of internationalisation strategy recruitment KPIs.
  • Enhance the brand profile and improve conversion of enquirers through to enrolment, utilising a range of communication mediums e.g. digital and social media, industry  advertising, direct mail/email campaigns as per market drivers.
  • Manage and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns, the production and maintenance of promotional materials and the coordination of digital-based conversion activity for prospective international students.
  • Lead international digital marketing campaigns to include but not limited to search engine optimisation, pay per click and digital display.
  • Manage a budget, taking full ownership of this and providing accountability and ownership – demonstrating regular evidence of marketing performance and ROI.
  • Analyse, create and present statistical marketing and recruitment reports.
  • Develop and manage temporary teams, which support the delivery of work in your own area and of cross-office projects.
  • Provide specialist advice and guidance to colleagues in academic faculties and other External Relations Services with a view to developing international marketing campaigns.

The ideal candidate: 

  • You will have a track record of success, developing marketing or sales plans and meeting or exceeding targets.
  • This role would suit an innovative marketer with a professional marketing qualification or equivalent professional experience.
  • You will have practical digital marketing experience preferably with international marketing expertise. Experience of evaluating advertising opportunities would be advantageous.
  • Ability to negotiate, liaise with senior stakeholders, find and implement novel ideas and communicate your ideas with sensitivity and diplomacy.

The International Office is responsible for the recruitment and support of international students, overseas partnership development and student mobility programmes. The Office supports the delivery of the University’s ambitious internationalisation strategy whilst ensuring that Manchester Metropolitan University retains and enhances its global profile.
