JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Extension is seeking a Financial Assistant. The purpose of this position is to provide accounts receivable and accounts payable support around Penn State Extension’s fee-based programming initiative and Penn State Extension’s online store. Specific responsibilities include:

• Reconcile registration payments received for fee-based Penn State Extension programming, and online sales processed through the Penn State Extension website

• Initiate transactions to credit sales and registration payments to appropriate accounts

• Process registration refunds for fee-based events, when necessary

• Assist with preparing bank deposits

• Provide support to county bookkeeping staff that need assistance with processing accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions

• Assist with reconciling net income between the State Extension and the Extension Director’s Reinvestment Accounts

• Handle invoicing & collecting revenue generated by Penn State Extension Private Goods initiative

Education and Experience:

This position will be filled as a level 2 and requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
