Working closely with Deputy Director, Corporate Communications, this position is responsible for managing social media channels to maintain SIT’s online reputation, achieve the university’s brand, marketing and communications objectives and increase online reach and engagement with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Manage SIT’s social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn.
Setup and manage a social media calendar to plan and publish social media content.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather content for the social calendar as well as implement social media techniques to help achieve their marketing/communication objectives.
Produce social media content including, copywriting, basic graphic design and photography. Candidates with videography and video editing skills will have an advantage.
Conceptualise and implement social media campaigns to increase reach and engagement as well as support brand, marketing and communication objectives.
Review social media analytics, draw insights to enhance social media efforts.
Support the Deputy Director, Corporate Communications in guiding the members of the social media team within the division.
Support the Deputy Director, Corporate Communications in procuring and managing external resources including social media/digital agency, social media tools, photography and videography vendors.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Digital Media or equivalent.
At least 7 years of work experience in digital communications/social media, preferably in an education setting or with a digital agency.
Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.
Proficiency in digital copywriting and writing for social media.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and usage norms.
Abreast with the current digital trends and social channels.
Skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and video editing software will be an advantage.
A digital native who is creative and enjoys coming up with new ideas.
Diplomatic, able to work under pressure and possess strong interpersonal skills.
Penchant for exploring, tinkering and picking up new tools, apps and software.
Able to work with a wide range of stakeholders/content contributors to develop social media campaigns or content. Prioritise limited resources in areas with the greatest return on investment.
