The Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta is dedicated to providing learner-centered educational programs that meet the health-care needs of our communities. Position Summary
Reporting to the Deputy Faculty General Manager, the Faculty Safety Advisor’s role is to champion and contribute to health and safety initiatives throughout the faculty. They are a trusted and supportive resource for faculty leadership, directors, managers, and supervisors, including Primary Investigators with respect to the University’s Health, Safety and Environment Management System. The Faculty Safety Advisor provides advice, guidance and technical expertise to the Faculty on matters related to occupational health and safety, emergency and risk management. They are a standing member of the FoMD Health, Safety, and Environment Committee and will be the designated alternate Chair and representative on University HSE committees as required.
