Marketing & Brand Management invites applications for a Digital Content Strategist to join their team. The University of Montana’s Digital Strategy and Innovation team (part of the Marketing and Communications sector) is seeking a Digital Content Strategist to focus on content, engagement, optimization and performance evaluation for the university’s website properties and provide content planning and development support to the social media team.
Working under the supervision of the Director of Digital Strategy, the Digital Content Strategist will optimize website content to support user engagement goals especially related to student recruitment and use site analytics for a new enrollment microsite and for selected resources on the UMT.edu website. This person will have experience with content strategy, search engine optimization, website performance analytics and the use of content management systems. The successful candidate will also coordinate website-focused content approaches with the social media manager to capitalize on engagement goals.
Members of the digital strategy team are often called on to support other sectors across the university with website and social media projects. This role will be a part of a team-wide coaching program designed to support these colleagues with best practice guidelines, research support and work product evaluations and recommendations.
Curiosity, collaboration and creativity are essential in this role. The successful candidate will serve as a connection point with admissions, web technology, external vendors/partners and throughout the Marketing and Communications sector to explore content opportunities, collaborate on development and implement new and revised resources.

Work Schedule: Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week), Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 12 months/year
Salary: $20.13/hr

Probationary Period: Six months minimum
