Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) in Kazakhstan, and direct supervision of the National Programme Officer on the Immigration and Border Governance; and, in collaboration with relevant units at IOM Kazakhstan, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for assistance of implementation of Immigration and Border Governance Projects in IOM Astana.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
Experience
Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups; and,
Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Skills
Skills in conducting research, analysis, and evaluations
All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM’s official languages (English, French, Spanish).
For this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written).
DESIRABLE
Fluency in Kazakh and Russian
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
