Job Summary The Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Texas at Arlington, College of Education, invites applications to a 9-month plus 3 Summer months non-tenure track position as Clinical Assistant Professor and Principal Certification (PC) Program Coordinator. The selected candidate’s area of focus includes the online MEd in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies with Principal Certificate Courses program and the Principal Certification Preparation Only program.

Department and College/School Information

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Teach up to 4 courses per semester, including summer
  • Oversee the admissions, data collection, and documentation process of the programs
  • Mentor and guide students through the programs
  • Collaborate with program faculty to keep curriculum updated and relevant
  • Work with college staff to ensure proper documentation and submission of program accreditation and assessment materials
  • Engage in service to the department, college, university, and the profession
Required Qualifications
  • Earned doctorate in educational leadership or closely related field
  • Experience as a PK-12 principal or assistant principal
  • Knowledge of Texas education standards and the complex legislative environment governing Texas educational institutions
  • Demonstrated commitment to social justice and understanding of the diverse academic, social, economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of university students
  • Online pedagogical experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in building partnerships with local PK-12 and/or higher education community
  • Expertise in PK-12 school leadership demonstrated by published research, awarded external funding, and leadership experiences
