Alico Chair, Operations Management, Eminent Scholar and Full Professor

Job Summary

As the endowed Alico Chair – Operations Management, Eminent Scholar and Full Professor you will teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels, as applicable; be involved in course and/or curriculum development; research/scholarship; participate on College and University committees and/or initiatives.
As Alico chair, you will also work with the agribusiness community.

Job Description

Essential Job Duties

  • Teaching: Teaches select upper-level courses as well as more advanced courses including graduate courses
    directly related to their specific area of expertise.
  • Scholarship: Demonstrates successful productivity in the areas of Supply Chain Management and Operations management
  • Service: Performs service within the university, the agribusiness community,  as well as within their professional community.

Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Operations Management or Supply Chain Management from an AACSB-I accredited institution
  • Current rank of full professor, or senior associate professor with at least four years in rank.
  • Experience teaching Operations Management courses and Supply Chain Management courses.
  • Demonstrated record of scholarship consistent with rank of Eminent Scholar.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Practical industry experience is also desirable and valued.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Experience or commitment to the use of technology in distance learning & university teaching. Interest in collaborating both within and outside the University in the development and delivery of instruction resulting in improved student learning. Must value continued scholarship and service to the school and university.

Appointment will be made on a 9-month multi-year appointment basis available August 2023.
