[Spherion Staffing is looking for an experienced Accountant to join a local Public Accounting firm. Candidate is responsible for performing accounting and tax-related tasks, including preparing business and personal income tax returns, reconciling accounts, general bookkeeping, payroll, and collecting and analyzing financial data for the clients.
[Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 1-3 years experience.

[Salary: $55-70k+ DOE

**[Responsibilities:
[-Provide accounting services for clients including AR, AP and Reconciliations
[-Perform general ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
-Prepare and post journal entries timely and accurately
-Provide financial statement preparation of monthly, quarterly or annual financial statements
-Develop strong working relationships with clients through personal attention and timeliness of service
-Communicate with clients as a trusted professional with information requests
-Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations, and ensure compliance with GAAP principles
-Provide accounting services for tax clients
-Prepare corporate, partnership, individual, trust or estate tax returns
