Job Description

The Academic Program Manager, CareerCatalyst role in ASU’s Learning Enterprise will coordinate all resources needed for Academic units seeking to launch new courses or manage courses on the CareerCatalyst LMS. CareerCatalyst courses teach learners the professional and technical skills to succeed in the jobs of today and the future. In this role, you will be the liaison between academic units and the CareerCatalyst team to ensure that they can make well informed decisions. This includes onboarding and educating internal partners on CareerCatalyst process and procedures along with, reporting out on course/program performance. This role will interact with top ASU faculty and staff and partner them with the appropriate resources on the CareerCatalyst team. In addition, this role will also work with Learning Design at CareerCatalyst to manage the academic partnerships across the University.

Essential Duties

As a CareerCatalyst Academic Program Manager, your most important responsibilities will be to:

Manage Academic Partnerships: You will demonstrate your ability to build collaborative relationships with people from various teams and backgrounds 

• You will exemplify your skill to create a foundation of trust and communication that will allow academic units to feel confident in the capabilities of the CareerCatalyst team to bring their content to life.
• You will exhibit innovation and continuous improvement as you look at existing processes and help identify new scalable solutions to challenges.

Strategic framework, planning and design:

You will build frameworks for collaborative projects and manage timelines, resources, and meeting expectations of the internal unit

• You display your skills as an effective communicator, show your ability to be detail-oriented and love to drive a project forward while overcoming barriers.
• You will think “out-of-the-box” and collaborate across multiple teams to accomplish strategic departmental goals while furthering the mission of CareerCatalyst.

Evaluation of performance:

You will dive into the data and present findings to academic units on how courses/programs are performing, allowing them to make informed decisions on how to move forward with courses/programs 

• Part of this data discovery will include working with the Associate Director of Marketing and the Data Team to glean information on how courses/programs are performing once launched.
• You will communicate regularly with units to keep them informed on course/program performance.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field AND five years administrative/coordination experience; OR, Master’s degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND three years administrative/coordination experience; OR Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in managing projects, or being a part of a team managing projects. (3 years)
• Evidence of effective communication and relationship building skills.
• Evidence in being collaborative, driven to push your work forward and think outside of the box.
• Experience in managing projects.
• Experience using technology to evaluate project (course/program) performance.
• Experience in navigating complex organizational structures. Y
• Experience in problem solving and can identify trends in our data.

 

We are looking for a Program Manager who has demonstrated the ability to coordinate and plan projects well. Someone with strong communication skills, who loves working with and collaborating with others. Someone that has an understanding of how universities work is key. We seek a candidate with a demonstrated commitment to relationship building and problem solving.

Experience with contracts and finance is a plus. We seek someone who can be the face of CareerCatalyst to the rest of the university at large and manage those relationships well as they are the backbone of our infrastructure.

Working Environment

• Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
• Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
• May be required to perform tasks in the field within and/or across University campuses.
• Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
