Postdoctoral Positions in Single-Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics

 

Pain Neurocircuitry and Cellular Plasticity Laboratory

We are seeking highly motivated postdoctoral fellows with expertise in single-cell transcriptomics, spatial transcriptomics, computational biology, bioinformatics, and/or patch-seq to develop and apply multimodal approaches for understanding the cellular and circuit mechanisms underlying pain.

 

Our laboratory combines molecular, cellular, systems, and behavioral neuroscience approaches to identify mechanisms underlying pain chronification, analgesia, affective-motivational comorbidities, and opioid-related behaviors. We are currently expanding into transcriptomic and cross-species studies that integrate molecular identity, electrophysiology, neural circuits, and behavior to identify molecular signatures underlying chronic pain and associated behavioral states.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/ELIGIBILITY: Applicants should have less than 3 years of relevant research experience since their receipt of a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree in biomedical sciences. Candidates with strong molecular, computational, or transcriptomic backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply.

Other requirements include strong laboratory, analytical, and organizational skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; and the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. Competitive stipends are determined by education and years of experience.
