Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to facilitate the daily administrative operations of the University’s Willed Body Program (WBP).
The WBP is responsible for overseeing the donation of whole-body donors to UCSF for education and research. All aspects of donation, from initial donor registration through final disposition of a donor, are overseen and coordinated by the Program. The Program provides anatomical material for education and research to UCSF, other UC campuses, and approximately 50 external education and research locations in Northern California. The Program is housed within the UCSF Medical Education Division of the Dean’s Office.
The incumbent to this position reports to the WBP director. The administrative analyst is the primary office and phone representative of the WBP and is the key resource person for daily processing of donor registrations, communication with the public around routine donation queries, processing of donor files (including completing death certificates), invoicing and oversight of accounts receivables, and coordinating donor transport and specimen deliveries.
Department Description
The School of Medicine’s Office of Medical Education (OME) is the administrative unit that oversees all health professions education programs for the School of Medicine which includes 1,200 teaching faculty, 650 medical students, 1500 residents and fellows and30,000 continuing education activities each year. For the past ten years, UCSF has been the only medical school ranked in the top five for research and for primary care training. The Office of Medical Education sets all strategic directives for medical education across the enterprise. OME is responsible for ensuring the highest quality learning and teaching environment for our programs and the support and development of over 110 staff.
