Organization Mission

Rescue Mission for Street Life is a child protection organisation in Uganda, East Africa. We work with children in fragile settings – slums, street and refugee settings. Our goal is to rescue, rehabilitate and transition these children into safety, health, family, education and livelihood. Over the years, we have supported 1500 children, and our model is play-based and caregiver-engaging.

Context

Rescue Mission for Street Life is a child protection organisation in Uganda working with street-connected and vulnerable children. Through a structured, play-based trauma recovery model, children regain emotional stability before transitioning into family care, education and livelihood pathways.

To strengthen institutional sustainability and expand programme reach, the organisation seeks to improve how it communicates its model, outcomes and strategic direction to foundations and institutional partners. A professionally structured institutional pitch deck will support clear communication of programme impact and strengthen long-term sustainability aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.

The Online Volunteer’s contribution will enhance organisational capacity in impact communication and resource mobilisation, supporting sustainable human development.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for one Online Volunteer to design a professional institutional pitch deck.

Under the guidance of the Executive Director, the Online Volunteer will:

• Review existing organisational materials and programme summaries
• Propose a clear slide structure of approximately 10–12 slides
• Design a visually coherent and professional slide deck
• Integrate visual elements such as charts, icons and impact summaries
• Deliver an editable version in PowerPoint or Canva format

Final deliverable:

One complete, editable institutional pitch deck ready for use in engagement with institutional partners.

All collaboration will take place online and materials will be shared electronically.

Required Skills and Experience

• Professional experience in graphic or presentation design
• Strong proficiency in PowerPoint or Canva
• Ability to translate complex information into clear visual formats
• Strong visual storytelling and layout skills
• Ability to deliver within agreed timelines

Experience working with development or nonprofit organisations is desirable but not mandatory.
