Your responsibilities
The successful candidates will contribute to the digitization of medieval commentaries on Horace’s Ars poetica and Ovid’s Metamorphoses and write entries to the planned lexicon of rhetorical and mythographic glosses to these two works. They will write a dissertation based on these materials with one of the following subjects: a) Etymology and exegesis of myth in the commentaries to the Metamorphoses, and b) The teaching of rhetoric in the commentaries to the Ars poetica.
Your profile
Candidates must hold an MA degree in Classics, Medieval Latin, or an affiliated field and have a thorough knowledge of Latin, as well as experience in paleography.
What we offer
The employment level will be 100% (ca. CHF 48’000 p.a. before taxes). The appointment will begin on March 1, 2023.
