The Office of the Vice-Principal, Research & Innovation is responsible for enhancing the overall research profile of University of Toronto Scarborough locally, nationally and internationally.
Your opportunity:
The Strategic Research Development Officer will support the University of Toronto Scarborough’s research community to advance the University of Toronto Scarborough’s and the University of Toronto’s strategic research administration activities. The position will work in collaboration with the Division of the Vice-President Research & Innovation (VPRI).
Working under the direction of the Director, Office of the Vice-Principal, Research & Innovation with day-to-day work that often involves direct engagementunder the leadership of the Vice-Principal, Research & Innovation, you will be responsible for helping UTSC researchers identify and attract new external research partnerships with private-sector, government, NGO, and community partners, supporting ongoing relationship management, assisting faculty members with their partners in generating proposals for externally sponsored research opportunities, and supporting other initiatives established by the Vice-Principal Research and Innovation, the Associate Vice-Principal Research–Strategic Initiatives, and the Director, Office of the Vice-Principal Research and Innovation.

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone:
USW Pay Band 15 — $86,011 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $109,993. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
