Temporary Hourly – Clerkship and Elective Coordinator (Part-Time)

Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a temporary, part-time Clerical position to coordinate medical students’ clinical education experiences. There is potential to apply to the full-time, permanent position once successful in the temporary role. The position will coordinate the administration of clerkship rotations and electives. Other duties include but are not limited to: supporting the Program Director; verifying students meet all requirements; coordinating rotation and exam schedules for both students and staff; serving as the liaison for community partners; recording grades for the directors’ review; updating and maintaining all forms, documents, and handbooks; directing inquiries to the appropriate staff and faculty members; and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Minimum high school graduate. Basic use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel and the willingness to advance skills. Administrative experience including managing some processes independently. Customer service experience and/or professional communication skills.

Schedule

Work up to 18 hours a week. Work to be completed Monday-Friday between 8:00-5:00, but an alternate set schedule may be negotiable.

There are no benefits and compensation will be offered between $16-$20, depending on experience.
