Student Research Assistant

This is a chronic pain-focused quality improvement (QI) project funded by the Reseau-1 (via FRQS) and McGill PBRN (primary care-based research network). The NPI is Dr. Kudrina, and the co-PI is Dr. Grad; both PI-s are family medicine clinician-researchers. Dr. Kudrina specializes in chronic pain and addiction fields.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  •   Collaborate and communicate with project clinical faculty and researchers.

  • Conduct literature reviews to gain a comprehensive understanding of the topic and assist with QI project(s).

  • Assist in designing and conducting the QI projects, including QI data collection, extraction and analysis using appropriate methodologies.

  • Assist in organizing and managing QI project data, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining confidentiality.

  • Contribute to the preparation of QI project manuscript(s), reports, and presentations.

  • Participate in QI /research team meetings to discuss project progress, share insights, plan further steps etc.

  • Assist in research protocol development and ethics submission.

 

Requirements. 

  • Maintain high ethical standards and ensure compliance with relevant protocols, policies, and regulations.

  • To be functionally bilingual (French and English). Possess basic methodological knowledge (undergraduate research training, research certificate, MSc or higher).

  • Good organizational and coordinating skills. QI-related experience or interest in QI is an asset.

  • A significant part will be remote. Commuting between several academic units will be occasionally required. Integrity working remotely and flexibility are required. Must commit to be available for the duration of the project.
