The University Educational Outreach Center (EOC) at the University of Pittsburgh is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as Program Manager for Pathway Development. The EOC is a new unit within the Office of the Provost committed to strengthening equitable K-14 pathways to college.Reporting to the Assistant Director for Pathway Development, the Program Manager will assist in the development, administration, and assessment of the EOC’s student-facing programs. These programs include, but are not limited to INVESTING NOW, the Pittsburgh Admissions Collaboration, the Pittsburgh Public Scholars, and the Pitt Connection Portal.

The Program Manager:

1. Assists the AD in the development of EOC’s programs

2. Is responsible for the administration and evaluation of the EOC’s programs

3. Directly supervises the work of the EOC’s Program Coordinators, student employees and volunteers

4. Is responsible for assisting in program-level policies and procedures development and use

5. Promotes the EOC’s activities by leveraging various modes of communication including but not limited to the EOC website, fliers, newsletters/e-newsletters, e-blasts, social media, etc.

The successful candidate has extensive experience in program implementation, administration and evaluation. Desired candidate should have knowledge of program development and needs assessment.This position works with diverse communities and oversees activities related to equity, diversity, and inclusion, requiring an awareness of, sensitivity to, and desire to engage with these topics. Some weekend and evening hours will be required. Access to transportation advised as travel throughout the Pittsburgh will be required.

This is a hybrid position which requires time spent on the University of Pittsburgh campus as well as time in the communities that we serve.About the University Educational Outreach Center (EOC): The mission of the University Educational Outreach Center is to serve as the epicenter for all University of Pittsburgh academic outreach efforts. The Center maintains an infrastructure that operationalizes collaborations, leveraging the assets of the university and external communities to enhance college admissions and successful matriculation of underserved and underrepresented students.


Education and Experience Requirements: Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience. Minimum Education Level Required: Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience Overall Related Experience Level Required: 2 – 4 years’ experience managing, implementing, and assessing K-12 programming.
