Summary of Job Duties:
University Housing’s Service Center Administrative Specialist is an essential personnel staff member that helps facilitate the 24/7, 365 days a year central service communication hub for University Housing by answering calls, creating maintenance tickets, monitoring electronic residence hall door systems, coordinating the dispatch of emergency maintenance personnel, creating, and distributing electronic shift logs and other responsibilities as assigned. This position will work 4:00 pm – 12:00 am Monday-Friday
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma;
One year of specialized training in business management, business education, or a related field;
Two years of experience in a specialized or a related field applicable to work performed.
Applicable equivalencies may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of record-keeping procedures
Knowledge of work-related subject area
Knowledge of computers and software applications
Ability to conduct research and compile data into report form
Ability to establish and maintain filing systems
Ability to operate standard office equipment
Ability to analyze documents to determine compliance with regulations, and procedures
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in the English Language.
Ability to operate DSX Access System software interface – Preferred
Ability to turn DSX companies off and on during holiday breaks – Preferred
Basic knowledge of fire alarm panel systems such as Triple S System. i.e. (fire alarms and trouble signals). – Preferred
Ability to use 2-way radio communications system. – Preferred
