Senior Lecturer in Learning Disabilities Nursing
Full-time permanent post at Walsall Campus, Part-time and/or Job Share would be considered

We are seeking candidates for the role of senior lecturer in Learning Disabilities nursing with a specific emphasis on supporting the provision of our undergraduate nursing programmes. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to wider pre and post registration nursing education programmes. Experience of teaching student nurses is essential and candidates with a research profile are welcomed.

Senior Lecturer in Nursing key roles and responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the undergraduate nursing programmes
• Take responsibility for the design, content and delivery of specific areas of teaching and learning
• Work as a member of a team, collaborating on course development and curriculum changes.
• The role may require cross-campus working

To be successful in the Senior Lecturer in Nursing role you will

• Be educated to Master’s level or evidence of level 7 study and will be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Learning Disabilities Nurse
• Have evidence of contemporary nursing practice
• Be willing to undertake a Post Graduate Certificate in Education if not already achieved. Have an awareness of teaching and learning methodologies, and demonstrate enthusiasm for innovative teaching and supporting the development of learners.
