Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

An exciting opportunity in MQ Health, Finance to provide expert financial analytics and technical insights working closely with key stakeholders to support business activities.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Financial Planning Analyst to join the MQ Health, Finance team.

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop expert knowledge and insight into the MQ Health Business to provide practical thought leadership across Group Finance processes and take ownership of the quality of end-to-end information flows (e.g. employment costs from source system data through to month end reporting)
• Develop and implement the redesign and implementation of new analytical tools for revenue and labour and an improved budget process.
• Act as the main point of contact for an allocated stakeholder group on Finance related issues and escalations.
• Partner with allocated stakeholder group to develop financial budgets and forecasts.
• Perform month-end management reporting including the production of standard reports and commentary by exception on areas requiring attention for discussion with allocated stakeholder group.

About You
 

You will support the Director, MQ Health Finance in performing financial modelling, financial evaluation, and cost-benefit analyses for MQ Health. You have an excellent written and verbal communications skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.  

You will build and uphold exceptional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, whilst maintaining a professional demeanour to achieve shared goals. Critical to your success in this role, will be your strong experience in a similar role within a large organisation with complex accounting and reporting requirements.

• Degree in accounting, finance or equivalent
• CPA/CA qualified or equivalent
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
• Good understanding of financial modelling and scenario analyses
• Good understanding of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience working in the health industry (desirable)
• Business Intelligence systems and reporting platforms skills e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Cognos TM1, Calumo
• 7+ years of experience (desirable) delivering quality reporting
• Extensive experience in analysing, manipulating and summarising large volumes of data in a robust and controlled manner
• Experience with systems implementation or upgrades (desirable)
• Strong experience in forecasting financials and budget preparation responsibility
• Relevant experience in accounting, finance, or equivalent
• Strong financial modelling expertise to produce business models
• Strong experience working with large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (preferably FinanceOne)
