Senior Executive/Executive, Student Affairs and Alumni

Responsibilities:

Teaching Support:

Manage and provide teaching support as part of the student care.

  • Management of peer teaching support through Peer Teaching [Student-led Tutorial Group (STG)] and Peer Coaching Programme to help academically weak students as part of the SCSE student care.

  • Logistic, TR booking, WSS claims, training

  • Review effectiveness of the teaching support programme

  • Provide reports and generate statistics at the end of each semester and case management

  • Management of staff teaching support through the online Academic Mentoring Scheme for Mentor-Mentee facilitation

  • Mentor online allocations & re-allocations

  • Monitor operating budget (allocated fund)

  • Career mentoring for students by Alumni & CAO

  • Organise workshops/sharing sessions

  • Monitoring of at-risk students who re-register a failed course via Retention Centre to be monitored closely to help them re-focus and progress with the particular course by second attempt.

  • Providing & highlighting repeat students list on Retention Centre for Course Coordinator attention

  • Review SOPs and administrative matters

Alumni Cultivation and Activities:

Manage and support SCSE Alumni Association (AA) and alumni operation.

  • SCSE AA and University Advancement Office (UAO) meetings

  • AGM

  • Planning and organising student/alumni activities and events; provide logistic support for the activities and events

  • Monitor operating budget (allocated fund)

Others:

Support department’s other duties – tasks, events and duties.

Requirements:

  • A local Polytechnic Diploma or equivalent in any related discipline

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in an educational institution

  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • Knowledge in event management

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to build rapport with staff and students

  • Ability to multitask, work independently and effectively in a team

  • Meticulous, with strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion on student records and matters

  • Non-judgmental and good listener
