This particular role would be serving a federal law enforcement agency in Clarksburg, WV.Primary Responsibilities:Facilitates for an agile development team within the SAFe framework.Leads the organization and change agent for Lean-Agile techniques, processes, and principles.Helps the other team members communicate, coordinate, and cooperate; with the goal of assisting the team meet their Iteration Objectives.Supports and reinforces the team rules.Facilitates the team’s progress toward team goals. Continuously engaged in challenging the team to improve performance, quality, predictability, and velocity.Leads team efforts in relentless improvement – Helps the team improve and take responsibility for their actions; facilitates the team retrospective. Teaches problem solving techniques and helps the team become better problem-solvers for themselves.Facilitates meetings – Facilitates all team meetings, including (where applicable) the Daily Stand-up, Iteration Planning, Iteration Review, and Iteration Retrospective.Supports the Product Owner – The Scrum Master helps the Product Owner in their efforts to manage the backlog and guide the team while facilitating a healthy team dynamic with respect to priorities and scope.Eliminates impediments – Many blocking issues will be beyond the team’s authority or may require support from other teams. The Scrum Master actively addresses these issues so that the team can remain focused on achieving the objectives of the Iteration.Protects and communicates – Communicates with management and outside stakeholders; helps protect the team from uncontrolled expansion of work.Facilitates preparation and readiness for ART events – Assists the team in preparation for ART activities, including PI Planning, System Demos, and the Inspect and Adapt.Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments.Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Project Management, Education, other related discipline, or equivalent experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Successful management or teaching experience weighs heavily over Agile/Software development experience.Scrum Master certification (e.g. CSM, PSM, and SSM)Experience implementing best development practices and standards, and mentoring/teaching junior practitionersExperience supporting the entire life cycle and facilitate software product releasesAbility to think independently and contribute to the overall effort without much directionAbility to work collaboratively and independently to develop creative solutionsAbility to work well within a small team environmentStrong communication skillsUS CitizenshipDOD Secret Clearance is required.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with software product developmentSAFe certification(s)Experience leading Agile development teams with demonstrated Scrum Master rolesExpertise in transforming and building end-to-end environments using DevOps to integrate, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and operate multiple systemsExperience leading teams in an Agile environment, identifying and converting requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria, and effectively communicating between project teams, Product Owners, and stakeholdersComfortable working across business and IT domains, and possess the ability to shift between technical analysis and business value discussionsWillingness to keep program abreast of trends in the GIS, software development, defense/ intelligence industries, and competing products and vendorsSoftware development tools: JIRA, ConfluenceLanguages/frameworks: SAFeSource control tools: GIT.Original Posting: May 15, 2025For U.S. Positions: While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range: Pay Range $85,150.00 – $153,925.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
