Research Lab Helper

USC’s Zilkha Neurogenetic Institute (ZNI) is seeking a Research Lab Helper to join its team at the Health Science Campus.

The Research Lab Helper will assist in collecting, sterilizing and stocking glassware and plasticware for use in all labs at ZNI.

This position will also assist with checking in vendors, staff employees and guest requirements in a secure building for obtaining badge access.

Assists with shipping and receiving of mail and materials for the building.

Duties include answering telephone calls, running errands on campus and special projects as assigned by the Facilities Manager.

Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

Experience working in a fast paced environment, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

The Research Lab Helper position will wash, wrap and sterilize glassware, equipment and/or instruments; fill, label and distribute media and reagent bottles; clean, check and replenish standard laboratory equipment and supplies and order new stocks of supplies as necessary.
