Summary: There is an open call for one (1) Research Initiation Grant (“Bolsa de Iniciação à Investigação”) at Instituto de Telecomunicações, in the scope of the Project PHYSEC, funded by the NATO framework.

Work Objectives:

– Support the development of components of an Intrusion Detection System employing machine learning algorithms for anomaly-detection in IoT networks.

– Data processing using python libraries (e.g., pandas, sklearn).

– Training and testing machine learning algorithms implemented in python libraries (e.g., sklearn, PyOD) to detect attacks in IoT networks.

Place of work: The work will be developed at the premises of Instituto de Telecomunicações at University of Aveiro, under the supervision of Dr. Jonathan Rodriguez Gonzalez.

Duration: 12 months. This type of scholarship has a maximum duration of 1 year. Start date: November 2022 or soon thereafter.
