Research Fellow (Social and Cognition Factors (CLIC))

The Centre for Lifelong Learning and Individualised Cognition (CLIC)

invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee participants recruitment

• Develop surveys, cognitive and behavioural tasks, and training programmes

• Conduct analysis of data and summarise research findings

• Conduct literature reviews for publications and research briefings

• Assist with preparing academic publications (e.g., journal, conference, book)

• Contribute to the production of research reports

• Contribute to the dissemination of research findings

• Perform other tasks as required by the Principal Investigators

Job Requirements:

• Doctorate (PhD) degree in experimental psychology, behavioral economics, social psychology, cognitive psychology, neuropsychology, neuroscience (basic, cognitive or computational), organizational behavior, linguistics, education, biopsychology

• Experience with statistical packages, especially R, Matlab and SPSS

• Prior experience in conducting, collecting data for and analysing surveys, psychological testing (computerised), behavioural testing and cognitive experiments

• Experience in preparing academic reports and presentations

• Good statistical knowledge and skills

• Good IT skills (i.e., Microsoft Office®)

• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent organizational skills and able to work within given deadlines

• Background in advanced statistical analysis and/or computational modelling methods

• Data management experience with REDCap

• Training / research experience in experimental, cognitive, or social psychology, psycholinguistics or behavioral economics

• Prior experience with interdisciplinary research and teams

• Prior experience with academic publication processes and reports

• Self-directed learner who effectively picks up relevant skills as needed
