Remuneration: $72,927 – $98,975 pa Level A / $104,185 – $123,720 pa Level B (plus 17% employer superannuation)

The Opportunity

The School of Physics and Astronomy has an exciting opportunity for a Level A or Level B Research Fellow to join the team in Nanophotonics.

Reporting to Professor Stefan Maier, the Research Fellow will be expected to publish papers in high-impact journals, present results at major conferences and workshops, and assist in the supervision of PhD and honours students. 

As the successful candidate, you will have a strong background and expertise in experimental research involving optical spectroscopy, particularly investigation of excitonic and strongly-coupled systems. Expertise in nanofabrication of metasurfaces and plasmonic structures is also desirable, but not required. 

You will ideally have doctoral qualifications in Experimental Physics, Engineering, or a closely related field.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
