Research Associate (Social Psychology, Qualitative Research)

School of Social Sciences is looking for a candidate to join them as a Research Associate to be responsible for leading a team on qualitative interviews, transcription of interview data, and thematic analysis of life narratives in Singapore.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews on life narratives

• Oversee training of a team of interviewers

• Oversee transcription of interview data

• Development of coding scheme for thematic analysis

• Lead a team on thematic analysis

• Report writing

Job Requirements

• Possesses at least a Master’s Degree in social science or related fields from a reputable university

• Experienced in conducting structured interviews, content coding, and thematic analysis

• Competent in English for report writing

• Fluency in Chinese, Malay or Tamil is preferrable – to meet field interview requirements

• Good organizational skills and able to work within tight deadlines

• Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

• Strong team player with the ability to learn and work independently in a small team
