What will you be doing?
We are seeking a colleague to join us in Registry & Academic Affairs in the role of Manager in the Data Integrity Team. The role supports the reporting, data analysis and management information capabilities of our department. As a department, we support students on their journey from registration to graduation and having access to timely and accurate data helps us improve our services to them. The role holder will support the university’s statutory reporting ensuring the required data quality as well as supporting staff to use data to make decisions and find and resolve problems in a proactive way.
Working with large and complex data sets using transformation and visualisation tools to update and produce reports. You’ll need to work with colleagues at various levels to understand their data needs and specify, build, test and launch new resources. You’ll also ensure information compliance through data security, retention, handling and access auditing.

What qualities are we looking for?
With strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy, you will enjoy working with data; particularly to produce resources that can be used by a range of stakeholders to fix issues, enhance support for students and develop new insights. You’ll need strong planning skills to be able to accurately assess work involved in a task and deliver to agreed timelines. Good at building relationships, you will be comfortable asking questions to develop yours and others understanding of key data, systems and processes. With a continuous improvement focus, you will be able to see how things might be made better. Able to work accurately, efficiently and managing your time to deliver to high standards. You’ll be a team player who recognises that collaboration can achieve strong results. Able to work with colleagues who have varying levels of data literacy and enjoy bringing tangible positive changes to people, data and processes. We are looking for someone who likes learning new things to understand how they work and enjoys finding creative solutions which help others in their work. with an inquisitive nature to learn and understand how things work, someone who gets things done and helps others to do the same.

This role is available on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours); however, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. Arrangements for job share would be considered.
