Job Summary
The CPR3 infrastructure housed at UCSF requires a Program Manager of Research Operations to support the distribution of ~$6.5M towards research projects. This position will work under direction of the Associate Director of Research Operations.
Research Priority Setting
• Conduct landscaping/mapping of existing programs in California relate to pandemic recovery and readiness research • Further synthesize research topics identified by Scientific Steering Committee (SSC)
• Support the Assoc Director of Research in developing topic-specific RFAs based on Scientific Steering Committee (SSC) priorities by contributing to the design, implementation and oversight of funding calls, review, and selection process
• Manage Technical Review Committee process
• Track deliverables and monitor project timelines including potentially IRB related issues and handling of regulatory aspects across campuses and institutions, as needed
• Coordination of grantee works-in-progress and trainings, as needed
Evaluate and Improve
• Propose and implement an M&E plan including measurements of dissemination products, future grants obtained, number of mentees, etc.
• Maintain a repository of key dissemination products, including but not limited to peer-reviewed manuscripts and conference presentations
UCSF Infrastructure
• Support the Associate Director of Evidence to Policy in grant writing, communications, writing/reviewing policy briefs
• Participate in hiring and onboarding of new staff, as needed
Department Description
UCSF’s Temporary Employment Program (TEP) recruits and hires temporary employees for immediate clerical and technical support services to UCSF Departments and various off-campus locations. UCSF departments deploy temporary employees to work on special projects, fill in for regular employees who are on vacation or leave, or to temporarily fill a vacant position during recruitment. Frequently temporary employees become successful candidates for career and limited appointment positions.
