BASIC FUNCTION:
The Project Coordinator for Kravis Lab for Social Impact supports the day to day activities of the Kravis Lab for Social Impact. This position reports to the Director of the Kravis Lab for Social Impact (KLab). This position performs a broad range of essential functions serving as liaison to staff, student employees, faculty, and campus partners. The nature of the work is to assist in the implementation of programs and projects for KLab.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Reporting to the Director, the Project Coordinator works independently and collaboratively to perform the following essential duties and responsibilities:
Assist in planning, implementing, and facilitating programs such as workshops, events, retreats, etc.
Manage student led projects, which involve scheduling visits, working with participants, and coordinating with staff and student employees.
Collect, handle, and clean data for program evaluations.
Compile relevant information for donor and departmental reports.
Design and publish KLab newsletters, brochures and other publicity for KLab activities.
Assist with maintenance of KLab web site.
Respond to issues and potential emergency situations that may arise during KLab sponsored programs and events.
Serve as the main person of contact for students participating in ongoing projects.
Handle sensitive and confidential materials with discretion, abiding by privacy legislation including FERPA, HIPAA, and College protocols.
Set work priorities and delegate duties to student assistants when appropriate.
Supervise student assistants, including assigning work projects, managing their work schedules, assisting the Director with training student workers, etc.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform essential job functions.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of one year of related experience is required. Two-years of related experience providing program or administrative support is preferred.
LICENSES: A valid driver’s license or equivalent means of reliable transportation to off-site meetings and events is required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: Individual must possess knowledge, skills, and ability to be able to successfully perform the essential functions of the position, or be able to explain or demonstrate how the essential functions will be performed, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge skills and abilities.
Deploy professional skills in collaboration with colleagues, to best promote the College’s strategic interests.
Demonstrate effective, accurate and clear communication with excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, reading, phone, customer service and leadership skills to supervise, facilitate, motivate and inspire a highly diverse group of employees and student employees. Follow all written and verbal instructions, asking questions as needed for clarification of projects/tasks/duties/assignments.
Operate computers proficiently with basic Microsoft Office software (such as Word, Excel, Outlook) and associated professional software (such as prospect research tools, Internet research, menu-driven databases, social media networking). Use assigned technology/devices/equipment to achieve annual goals and maintain confidentiality.
Handle all activities and highly confidential information with patience, discretion, good judgment, courtesy and tact while working with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
Prioritize and perform multiple projects/tasks, meet deadlines/timelines, respond to others in a timely manner, and work both independently and as a collaborative member of the College with a high standard of integrity and ethics, in support of the College’s strategic vision and the department’s annual goals.
Use strong organizational and time management skills to complete work with accuracy and a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work cooperatively with others.
Ability to receive and respond appropriately to constructive criticism.
Ability to display a positive attitude.
HOURS: The regular hours for this full-time position are 40 hours per week. Holiday, weekend and evening work hours may be required. Travel may be required. Regular hours may vary due to needs of the College or division. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule. This is a 12-month position.
CLASSIFICATION AND STATUS:
This is a non-exempt, full-time, benefits eligible position.
Funding for this position is expected through, June 2023.
