Responsibilities:
- working in the research project entitled “Role of ferroptotic cancer cells in tumour development through modulation of the tumour microenvironment”, which is funded by the National Science Center, Republic of Poland (project no. Sonata 15),
- conducting research involving in vitro assays with various cell types (cancer cells, blood vessel cells and cells of the immune system: mouse, human) and in vivo experiments on mouse tumor models, including in vivo experiments on laboratory animals,
- keeping scientific documentation (protocols, laboratory notebooks),
- writing reports and public presentation of results,
- writing scientific publications.
Requirements:
- doctoral degree in molecular biology, genetics or biochemistry obtained no earlier than 7 years before the year of employment in the project, with the proviso that the period from obtaining the doctoral degree by the woman who gave birth or adopted the child / children may be extended by 18 months for each child
- 3 years of work experience documented by employment certificates,
- strong publication record and experimental training,
- practical and theoretical knowledge in the field of cancer biology with particular emphasis on the role of macrophages and other cells of the tumor microenvironment in cancer development,
- strong motivation to work and pursue scientific questions, creativity and analytical thinking,
- experience in using the following techniques: flow cytometry, fluorescence / confocal microscopy, ELISA, real-time-PCR, Western blot, human cell culture,
- experience of working with laboratory animals (e.g. mice) will be advantageous.
- ability to communicate fluently in English (written and spoken),
- knowledge of basic computer programs (Office, Adobe, Graph Pad Prism),
