health behaviours, influences, and outcomes associated with the key
communicable and non-communicable diseases of our time. The Centre has
expertise on behaviour change, chronic disease, ageing, and inequity.

Our Centre has the key aim of being internationally recognised
for high impact health-related research. This is achieved through the
objectives of knowledge development, capacity building, dissemination,
translation, and community and stakeholder engagement.

In this position you will play a crucial role in leading
dissemination research activities for the Prostate Cancer Survivorship
Essentials (PCEssentials) program, as well as contributing to the
successful delivery of a prestigious National Health and Medical
Research Council (NHMRC) funded partnership project with national and
international reach – “Prostate Cancer Survivorship Essentials for Men
with Prostate Cancer on Androgen Deprivation Therapy: Transforming
Care to Improve Outcomes”.

Please note that the position will be based at the Prostate
Cancer Foundation of Australia, Brisbane.

What will you do?

In this position you will undertake management and coordination
of the recruitment processes at participating referral clinics for the
NHMRC partnership project, as well as participate in and conduct
research and scholarship activities related to the Prostate Cancer
Survivorship Essentials (PCEssentials) program.

In addition, you will also:

• Work with leading academics and industry leaders in prostate
  cancer survivorship care
• Build professional networks
• Provide project support for the project manager, investigators,
  partners and recruiting sites

What will help you succeed

Key to your success in this role, will be your invested interest
in prostate cancer survivorship with a proven record of scholarly
and/or professional achievement in a relevant field (health and
welfare/public health/behavioural sciences). In addition, you will
also have:

• A PhD or professional doctorate or equivalent standing in a
  relevant discipline area from a recognised tertiary institution.
• Demonstrated knowledge of best practice and expertise in
  managing recruitment for research studies in health care settings.
• An ability to manage relationships and communicate sensitively
  with clinical stakeholders and conduct participant screening
  interviews and consent procedures.
• An ability to work effectively in a team environment, and
  independently to ensure workload is planned appropriately and
  meets agreed timelines.
• Understanding of ethical principles guiding clinical research
  and experience in developing complex materials that support the
  research process.

$141,128 pa (includes salary range of $100,888 to $119,246 pa,
employer superannuation contributions of 17% of salary and annual
