Position Summary The Department of Pediatrics and Wells Center for Pediatric Research at the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) invite applications for a postdoctoral associate in the Peltier Lab. The postdoctoral associate will lead studies investigating the role of long noncoding RNA genes and/or microproteins encoded by these genes in T cell responses following allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). These novel translational studies are expected to advance the understanding of T cell responses that drive acute graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) and/or the graft-versus-leukemia (GVL) response following allogeneic HSCT.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, execute, analyze, and record laboratory experiments
• Present research at laboratory meetings, journal clubs, seminars, and meetings.
• Draft, write, and edit grants, reports, journal articles, and abstracts.
• Complete and maintain all required training activities
• Apply for fellowship support related to their training
• Work collaboratively and collegially with other lab members and wider university community

Basic Qualifications Applicants must have a Ph.D., and/or M.D. in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Microbiology, or other relevant field, a record of excellent peer-reviewed publications, be highly motivated, and demonstrate the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues. Experience in immunology, tumor immunology, RNA biology, murine models of GVHD, murine models of GVL, cell culture techniques, molecular biology, biochemistry, high throughput sequencing, bioinformatics, and/or microscopy are beneficial but not required.
