Job description:

You will contribute to the energy transition in the chemical industry with the Power-to-Chemicals concept. To-gether with an interdisciplinary team, you will develop a novel design for gas diffusion electrodes for electrosyn-thesis applications in organic electrolytes. You will characterize the electrode structure using imaging tech-niques and analyse the reaction and trans-port processes experimentally and by simulation. This allows you to make correlations between electrode structure and process parameters for more efficient production of high-quality chemical products. From your research results you will derive essential and technically relevant insights into process limitations and make recommendations for optimizing electrode design and operating conditions.
