JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Penn State Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing seeks to hire a part-time research assistant to aid the jc&research lab team’s overall mission to improve health and justice outcomes for people who have experienced violence. This opening requires someone who can work both independently and within a team. The candidate will be working remotely. Specific work hours will be arranged with successful candidates to achieve the team’s goals.

Job Duties

Part time job duties do not exceed 20 hours per week. Specific duties are performed per the direction of the Principal Investigator including, but not limited to:

• Coordinating, writing, and submitting of documents to IRB.
• Designing and editing survey content for upload into study databases.
• Editing and designing intervention content for upload into study database.
• Administrative tasks to support research team such as managing research team email.
• Collaborating with other staff members.
• Recruiting, consenting, and retaining participants for research projects.
• Conducting interviews and focus groups.
• Managing social media and web – including creating and posting content, website updates.
• Participating in writing abstracts, manuscripts, and other study dissemination products.

Candidates for this opening should show demonstrated ability to work independently, knowledge of gender-based violence, attention to detail, and must have completed their undergraduate degree by the time of hire.
