JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA) is looking to add to its Department of Finance staff.

GPSA’s Department of Finance operates as a permanent Department in the Executive Branch. Its Executive Director, Jackson Belva, shall be the GPSA’s treasurer. The Department of Finance does not have the authority to use GPSA finances unless directed by Assembly legislation or through procedures defined in this Constitution or Bylaws. 

Base pay for this staff position is $15, with flexible hours. 

The staff of the Department of Finance shall be responsible for:

1. Assisting with the management of GPSA’s income and expenditures with the Associated Student Activities (ASA) office in line with the decisions of the GPSA.

2. Assist with, at the discretion of the Finance Director, regulating, maintaining, and keeping account of all tangible assets purchased through funds of the GPSA.

3. Co-monitor the reparation of all GPSA’s fiscal related budgets, documents, and presentations.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
