Perform ticketing and clerical duties in support of Parking Services; to patrol University facilities for parking violations; to assist other staff members; to provide fill in support. The Lehigh community takes seriously our commitment to antiracism and The Principles of our Equitable Community .

1. Parking Enforcement (~75%)
*Patrols University parking facilities for parking violations, issuing citations using hand-held terminal, portable printer and Motorola portable radio
*Makes decisions regarding special situations according to established procedures
*Assist with special event parking
*Provide assistance to all campus users (students, staff, faculty, visitors)

2. Administrative Support (~25%)
*Assist with office duties including answering phones, filing and processing paperwork, issuing parking permits and running reports

Special Considerations

The duties of the position do not allow for a remote work option; the employee in this position will be required to work on campus where they can be fully accessible to the Lehigh community.

Shift is 2:00pm-10:00pm; Hours/shift may fluctuate during academic breaks

Overtime work will be required at times

This position is considered Essential Services Staff; Essential Services Staff are required to report to campus and remain during inclement weather and other emergency situations; they are defined as those needed to deliver student services and maintain campus facilities, campus safety and security

This position is responsible for driving university-owned vehicles as a routine function, therefore a valid Driver’s License and a good driving record is required

Will often need to stand, use hands to touch, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

Will sometimes be subject to electrical hazards, fumes or air born particles, lift up to 10-25 pounds and work near moving mechanical parts

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience

One to three years related work experience

Solid writing ability, attention to detail and organizational skills

Good analytical and decision-making skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Solid computer skills with experience using word processing, spreadsheet and database software

Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position

All Lehigh faculty and staff are required to be fully vaccinated and receive a booster shot six months after their second vaccine; unless they receive an approved medical or religious exemption from the requirement.
