The Arizona State University U.S. Passport Acceptance Office is seeking a full-time Office Specialist Sr. to assist with the acceptance of U.S. passport applications.

Essential Duties

  • Answering client questions concerning passport applications
  • Evaluating passport applications
  • Taking passport photos
  • Accepting payment for passport services
  • Maintaining a log of clients served
  • Sending applications to the U.S. Dept. of State
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Five (5) years of increasingly responsible office/clerical experience, which includes one (1) year in a directly related function; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

  • Experience in communicating in a multi-cultural setting
  • Experience working with a diverse population
  • Experience in customer service. Handling in person customers preferred
  • Experience in work requiring effective organization skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of office and administrative practices and principles
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office software
  • Experience in operating office machines
  • Experience using credit card machines for accepting payments
  • Experience evaluating governmental forms
  • Bilingual – Spanish/English

Working Environment

Arizona State University U.S. Passport Acceptance office is located at Tempe University Center at 1100 E University Drive Suite #111 Tempe, AZ.

  • Use standard office equipment including, but not limited to: computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, and mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology peripherals.
  • Communicate to perform essential duties.
