OECD: Communications Officer – Paris

JOB DESCRIPTION

Main Responsibilities

Publications

  • Work with the Division’s analysts on preparing publications (reports, papers, policy briefs, etc.), advising them throughout the publishing process.
  • Copyedit, format and proofread manuscripts to ensure clarity and consistency of messaging and applying all OECD style rules and conventions.
  • Draft short materials (articles, blog posts, etc.) to promote publications.
  • Promote publications through multiple channels (web, social media, events, etc.) and identify opportunities to increase visibility across platforms and audiences.

Media

  • Develop social media campaigns for key events (publication launches, etc.) and regularly draft content for various platforms (e.g. LinkedIn, X, WhatsApp) to promote outputs.
  • Monitor social media to evaluate the impact of campaigns.
  • Support work with traditional media, including in the preparation of materials (draft press releases, etc.) and monitoring of media coverage.

Web

  • Update and maintain CM web pages, following corporate web rules and best practices, and ensure maximum visibility and discoverability of information.
  • Draft original web content and adapt texts for the web, following best practices for SEO and GEO.

Design & multimedia

  • Design high-quality communication materials targeted at a variety of stakeholders (e.g. flyers, brochures, videos, infographics).
  • Propose new promotional approaches, aligned with corporate rules and tools, and keep abreast of best practices and innovations at the OECD and externally.

Events

  • Manage the communication needs of events (e.g. conferences, workshops, webinars), including through the development of dedicated websites or webpages, visual signatures following OECD branding rules, agendas, and other promotional activities.

Strategic planning & Internal communications

  • Contribute to DAF’s annual communications plan and ensure that CM communications activities support the delivery of this plan as well as the DAF Director’s communications priorities.
  • Work collaboratively with the Division’s other Communications Officers and provide support and back-up when needed.
  • Coordinate with the DAF DO Communications Unit and COM in planning communications activities.
  • Support impact monitoring and knowledge-sharing within the Division to maximise outreach efforts and exchange best practices.
