• Start Date: ASAP
• Daily Schedule: Full-Time Monday-Friday (8:00 am – 4:30 pm)
• Clinical Setting: Outpatient Occupational Medicine, Urgent Care, Physical Therapy and Advanced Specialist Services

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Welcome patients and obtain medical histories from patients; verify patient information
• Assist providers during examinations and treatment
• Perform ancillary testing and tasks as ordered by the Center Medical Director (PFT, EKG, injections, audiograms, blood draws, etc.) and as certified
• Dispense medications within the scope of practice as ordered by the treating providers and in accordance with state regulations
• Assist the front office team as needed.

Position Requirements:

• Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program
• 1+ Years of Recent Clinical Experience
• Ability to commute daily to Augusta, Maine (Local Opening)
• A basic understanding of patient care, medical terminology, coding procedures, reference tools, and appropriate clinical pharmacology for medical assistant practice scope.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with electronic medical health care record systems.
