Matthew Flinders Scholarship

Applicants for the scholarship must:

• be enrolled full-time at Flinders University*; and
• be in receipt of means-tested government payments or be able to demonstrate financial hardship; and
• demonstrate that they will be financially disadvantaged as a result of undertaking the placement; and
• be enrolled in a topic that has a continuous placement component of at least 4 weeks (fulltime); and
• be undertaking the placement in a location more than 90 minutes travel time from both the student’s semester and permanent home address; and
• have not received another scholarship for this placement.
• The placement must be undertaken between July – December

*Scholarships are available to part-time students in exceptional circumstances, which includes (but is not limited to) disability, illness or carer responsibilities.

Recipients who do not proceed with the placement may be liable to repay the scholarship.
