Louisiana State University’s Department of Geology and Geophysics is looking for strong student applications for our MS and PhD programs. We encourage highly motivated students with an interest in a variety of topics related to our competitive research programs, including:
Admission to the graduate program is based on academic merit and research focus; we thrive on diversity. We offer both Teaching Assistantships and Research Assistantships as available.
In addition, we are pleased to announce a Fellowship opportunity (MS and PhD) under the Applied Depositional Geosystem Fellowship (ADG). The ADG program aims to prepare students for careers in the oil-gas industry through course work applicable to industry, through participation on the IBA Competition Team, and through a thesis or dissertation that is focused on an industry-related topic. Stipend $25,000/yr for two years. Additional TA support for PhD student contingent on progress through the program. Tuition and partial fees paid.
