We are looking for highly motivated individuals who have an interest in Statistics or Financial Mathematics, to join the Department of Statistics within the School of Mathematics. You will contribute to the School’s research-led teaching and management of student education and will play an important role by contributing to the development of outstanding graduates and scholars. Also, you will be expected to take an active role in the development of our curriculum, aligning with the Institutional-led Curriculum Redefined principles and practices.
With a PhD (or have submitted your thesis before taking up the role) in Statistics or Financial Mathematics, or a closely related discipline such as Mathematics, you will have a demonstrable ability to teach Probability, Statistics, Data Science or Financial Mathematics. You will have an enthusiastic and innovative approach to all aspects of student education, good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to use technology effectively and innovatively in the preparation and delivery of blended learning material. You will also be interested in developing pedagogic research and scholarship.
