Overview

Applications are invited for a Lecturer in Mental Health in the Wolfson Institute of Population Health  in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry . The Lecturer will contribute to the intellectual life of the School / Institute and wider institution. They will contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching, assessment and scholarly activity for postgraduate courses in Mental Health, including the MSc/MRes Mental Health: Psychological Therapies and MSc Forensic Psychology and Mental Health, together with development and delivery of new courses (e.g. MSc Preventive Medicine) and related administration.

The successful candidate will hold a PhD in psychology, mental health or social sciences or learning methods, or Professional Doctorate in Psychology. They will also have evidence of high quality general or subject-specific pedagogical work published in appropriate renowned outlets / media. Moreover, they will have ability to deliver teaching and assessment at undergraduate and postgraduate level with some guidance in the subject area of Mental Health, along with clear and ambitious plans for future scholarship activities.

The post is based at the Whitechapel campus in London within the Centre for Psychiatry and Mental Health . It is a permanent appointment, full-time post (35 hours), with an expected start in November 2022. The starting salary will be £39,815 – £46,843 per annum (Grade 5).
