The IT Department at Birmingham City University is seeking to appoint a number of Graduates for fixed term positions. The successful candidates will have completed a relevant degree at Birmingham City University, graduating in 2022.

These positions will play a crucial role in the delivery of a high-quality customer focused service for staff, students and visitors.

The successful candidates will provide a first line service to understand requests for support as part of a busy helpdesk environment. You will be required to ask relevant questions to understand the issues, log them accurately within our systems and categorise them to understand the urgency and impact. You will also be part of a team resolving first line incidents, such as password requests, and initial advice around core IT services.

Strong technical, communication, problem solving and presentation skills will be advantageous for this role.

It is expected that the opportunity for the successful candidate will run for 15 months from December 2022.
